1976: From the 3rd generation Galant Sigma , Mitsubishi made a coupe version, the Mitsubishi Galant Lambda.
1978: The Galant Lambda became known in Europe as the Mitsubishi Sapporo, in England it was known as the Colt Sapporo. Chrysler who had a share in Mitsubishi, sold the Sapporo under the names Dodge Challengerand Plymouth Sapporo in the United States, while in Australia it became known first as the Chrysler Scorpion and later as the as the Mitsubishi Scorpion.
